Jimmie Prescott, 83, of Muldrow, Okla., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013. He was born Sept. 19, 1929, in Sparks, Okla., the son of John and Ethel (Fagan) Prescott. On Sept. 2, 1950, he married his 16-year-old sweetheart, Billie Sue Duff. Four years into their union they were offered an opportunity to relocate to Baton Rouge to manage the operation of the first Dairy Queen located at 2046 Scenic Highway. When the union ended in 1957, Mr. Prescott returned to Arkansas. On Aug. 8, 1959, he married Lucy Fay Hallum in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. Prescott was a member of Lee's Chapel Assembly of God, where he was a youth leader and taught Sunday school. He is survived by his wife, Fay, of the home; former wife, Billie D. McGraw, of Clinton, La.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
