Henry Joseph Berthelot "Junior", passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home. He was a native of Head of Island, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge. An honorary military veteran, he was an Army Master Sergeant E-8 and was decorated with a Korean Service Medal, three Bronze Service Stars, a Purple Heart, and numerous others. He is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Berthelot; his daughter, Dana Berthelot; sons, Leonard and wife Micki Berthelot, Glenn and wife Mary Kay Berthelot, and Henry "Hank" Berthelot; and two special grandchildren, Lauren and Ryne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Laurentine Bezee Berthelot; four brothers; and four sisters. Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 10am until the funeral service at 11am. Interment will follow at the Louisiana National Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the "Wounded Warriors Project" in Henry's Name.
