Can you imagine the Grand Taylor Family Reunion that's taking place in Heaven? "Poppa Daddy" and "Momma Jessie" rejoicing because they are reunited with their children - Delphine, Ruth, Nolan Jr., Joseph, Albert, Lawrence and Johnny Lynn("Judge"), as well as other family members at their eternal homestead.
My Uncle "Judge" and I had a special relationship. He would often say that I acted and reminded him of my grandmother. Sometimes he called me "Bye," but more often he called me "Ollie." I never questioned why he chose that name, but only responded each time we had a conversation or when a request was made.
On Tuesday, June 4, my brother, Michael shared with me that he had spoken with Aunt Vailada and that the patriarch of the Taylor clan wanted to know how I was doing and that he wanted to see me. To honor his request on Thursday, June 6 my family and I went to see him. Praying that I would say something that would enable him to tell me what he wanted, I was unable to do so. Although, he did not respond, I hope he knew I was there as he had requested.
My Uncle "Judge," Nolan and Jesse's baby boy was a giant of man in statue, as well as in his discipleship with the Lord. Always striving to be the peacemaker and doing acts of kindness behind the scene never seeking recognition - on his job (before he retired), community, church and amongst family members.
Just as "Uncle Judge" planted seeds each year to yield a harvest to share with others, He also planted seeds and nurtured them for his legacy to be carried on through the males in the family - grandsons, nephews, great/grand nephews, brother-in-laws and cousins. His life's journey has been run and He has passed the baton on to them to ensure that our FAMILY be keepers of each other. Let not the "fruits of His labor" be in vain. As believers, God's word should be so ingrained in your hearts that you want to do what's right, and "take joy" in doing His will.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. ~ Hebrews 12:1
Uncle Judge, I will miss you dearly, but I know you have transitioned from your earthly home to your home in heaven and ALL is well! You have won your race to eternal glory!

To Valiada & Renee;
When nothing else could help, LOVE lifted me. May the love that we share bring you comfort. But know that there is a Greater Love that will comfort you when none of your earthly friends can.
His Amazing Grace will always be there. Just trust Him and he will do just what he said.
Love, Otis
