Reverend Wilbert Holliday was a native of New Orleans, La., and resided in Ventress, La. Reverend Holliday heard the Lord and answered His call to come home, rest and be rewarded on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. He was enlisted in the United States Air Force for eight years and served two years in the Vietnam War. He was a wonderful husband and the best father and grandfather a child could ask for. He had lots of wisdom and so much love to give. Special thanks to Dr. Toan Hau and his medical staff at Baton Rouge VA Center. Also, a special thanks to Frensenius Dialysis Center, New Roads, La. Visiting will be from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 12144 Hwy. 46, Lakeland. The Rev. Jeffrey Jackson will officiate. Interment will be in Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mount Road, Zachary. Survivors include his wife, Rose Roberts Holliday; daughters, Nickol and Tiffany; sons, Wilbert Jr., Thomas and Robert; sister, Florida Johnson; brothers, Jessie, Junior and Peter Holliday; grandchildren, Dale, John, Jada, Armand, Paige, Jasmine, Jaiden; and 1 great-granddaughter Arrian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Holliday; sisters Lurline and Doretha; and brother Samuel Roosevelt Holliday. Services entrusted to Hall Davis & Sons Funeral Service.

Dear Rose Mary (nanny) so sorry to hear of your lost I wish you and your family well and with God's grace you will be ok, so sorry was unable to attend due to vision problems still not driving long distance.
