Edith Delacroix Lefebvre, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at her home. A native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Edith graduated from Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing. She served as a Registered Nurse and also was a United States Cadet Nurse. She attended St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church for many years and is a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Edith is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Lefebvre, Jr., celebrating 65 years of a "great love affair"; five daughters, Katie Lefebvre, Juliette Dean, Mary Loupe and husband Mark, Yvette Schittone and husband Don, and Therese Atwell and husband Gordon; four sons, Ray Lefebvre, Tom Lefebvre and wife Susan, John Lefebvre and wife Eve, and Chris Lefebvre and wife Annalisa; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Molly Olds; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, George A. and Mary D. Delacroix, and brother, George Delacroix. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm and will resume on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy., from 9:30 am until funeral service at 11 am. Ms Edith's entire family are in my prayers. We loved her and referred to her as the "Egg Lady". She graduated from OLOL with my mom.
I know ya'll have tons of outstanding memories to lean on during the difficult times.
