Bob was a very dear friend. We had such a good time together on many fishing adventures..... both on Toledo Bend and in his private lake. We even made a trip together to Alabama to fish Lake Guntersville.
I always found Bob to be sincere in his friendship and generous with a friendly, understanding ear.
He gave me a set of keys to his private lake where i caught the biggest fish of my life.
I trust that Dana and the boys can take comfort in knowing he is remembered fondly by myself and many others

He had a tender heart and was a very close friend. His love of fishing and hunting was surpassed only by his love for his family.

Prayers for comfort are offered to you all. "Uncle Bob" was a dear friend to our family through the deep friendship he shared with my dad, Floyd Crosby. They had been friends for as far back as I can remember. I will never forget the times he sat with us around the dinner table and made us laugh with his crazy stories & jokes. He was one of a kind & will be missed by a multitude of people that hold him dear to their hearts.

Dana, Taylor, and Ashton, You have been in our prayers since we heard of Bob's passing last week. I'm not sure if you recall that I first met Bob my senior year in high school when I was hospitalized for a head injury, and he was the neurologist assigned to my case. I never dreamed that years later our children would become good friends. What a blessing that he was doing what he loved just before passing into the arms of our Father. Isn't that what we all want. I know Bob's booming laugh is filling heaven with extra joy. May light perpetual shine upon him, and the peace that passes all understanding be with each of you.

So sorry Dana to hear about this. Just got a phone call today about Dr. Hanchey passing. Got to know him when we work together at Our Lady of the Lake Neuro Team in Surgery. He taught me so much in surgery and used every instrument under the sun during surgery. The surgical trays were always full. Have very good memories of Dr. Hanchey. Numbers 6:24-26 "The LORD bless you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." to you and your family.

It was with a sad heart that I received a phone call over the weekend telling me of Bob's passing. I worked with Bob in the late 80's and early 90's in his neurosurgery practice and learned a great deal from him in doing so.
Jane and I send our deepest sympathies to Dana and the family and know that Bob is either duck hunting or fishing in that part of heaven where they're always biting and always on the wing.
God's sweet rest Bob.
