A mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the age of 85. She was a native of Denham Springs and a resident of Gonzales. She was the owner of Weber City Bar for 55 years. There will be visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales Monday, February 10, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Blake Melancon. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her loving daughter who never left her side, Tracye L. Brown; loving son and daughter-in-law, Maxwell Brown and Kathy; grandsons, Michael and David Brown; great grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Isabelle; twin brother, Homer Juban; brothers, Lloyd and Floyd Jones, Donald Jones; sisters, Audrey Nichols and Clarice Brister; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Brown; parents, Darris and Verda Mae Juban; sister, Lois Thibodeaux; brother, Wayne Jones; and an infant brother.
