A devoted wife, loving daughter, and great friend, she passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She was 47 and a resident of St. Amant. Patty was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on June 21, 1966. She graduated from East Ascension High in 1984 and later attended LSU. She was a Client Services Officer with First National Bankers Bank. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Clayton Borskey; mother, Joann Uttley Shonk; brother, Michael Dean Shonk; uncle, Don Shonk and wife, Kay; cousins, Deborah Shonk and Amy Everett; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Dean Shonk; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Clara Uttley; paternal grandparents, Edd and Eva Shonk; and numerous aunts and uncles. Visiting will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales from 5 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume at the funeral home on Saturday from 8 am until 10 am. Funeral services will be held at New River Methodist Church, St. Amant on Saturday at 11 am, Rev. Russ Clunan officiating. Burial to immediately follow in the church cemetery.
