Richard "Glen" Jenkins, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the age of 56, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. Glen was President of Jenkins Tile Company which was his second love outside of his family. He loved and adored his family more than life itself, and was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Jenkins; and father-in-law, Bill Higgins. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jeanne Jenkins; his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Kevin Mitchell; daughters, Mallory and Lauren Jenkins; granddaughter, Bailey Marie Mitchell; mother-in-law, Joyce Higgins; and Jodie and Gary Golden and Bill and Jean Higgins; whom he considered his sisters and brothers. Visiting will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 5:00 pm until memorial service at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org). Family and friends may sign the online memorial, leave a personal note to the family or, order flowers at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.

Jeanne, I was shocked to hear of Glen's passing and will be praying for your family. He always made my visits to the store such fun. We enjoyed seeing you both when you were able to attend CRBA meetings.

I just read about Glenn. I only knew him through Jenkins Tile. He helped me update my kitchen and bath. He was a pleasure to work with. He will be missed.
