Marie Claire Dubois Schneider passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the age of 82. She was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Claire is survived by her sons, Butch Schneider and wife Renee, Peter Schneider and wife Ronda, David Schneider and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Allison Schneider Strickland, Jennifer Schneider, Christopher Schneider, Karli Schneider Becnel, Preston Schneider, Deanna Schneider; great-grandchildren, Reese Strickland, London Strickland, Sloan Strickland; and sister-in-law, Lucille Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Schneider; parents, Ethyl Elizabeth and Allen Dubois, Sr.; brother, Allen "Buster" Dubois, Jr.; and sisters, Alleen Dubois Schroeder and Carolyn Dubois Silva. Claire was a native of south Louisiana and was a retired employee of the State of Louisiana, Department of Natural Resources. She enjoyed LSU Baseball and Football, Mardi Gras, and spending time with her family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802) from 11:00 am until the Memorial service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park (4045 North Street). The family would like to extend special thanks to the team at Opelousas General Hospital and the caring staff at Senior Village Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Opelousas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.

My condolences to the Schneider Family. I worked with Claire at the Office of Conservation. What I think I'll miss most about Claire is her beautiful smile and how she lit up when she talked about her family. She and Paul are together again. God Bless you Claire.

My deepest sympathies to Pete, Butch and David and their families on the passing of your precious mom. I enjoyed working with Claire at the Office of Conservation, and through all of our conversations, I know one thing for sure, she loved her family with all her heart.
