Rachel Green Moran, age 92, a resident of Greenwell Springs, LA, passed away on January 3, 2017. Rachel loved her church, her family and her friends. She also loved dogs, gardening and fishing. She is survived by her son, Alton Tracy Moran and his wife, Margaret; her grandchildren, Joel Moran and Amy Moran; and her brother, Hacy Green of Garettsville, OH. Rachel is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Joseph Moran; her siblings, Tracy Green of Albuquerque, NM, Lacy Green of Pascagoula, MS, Percy Green of Clinton, LA, Stacy Green of Central ,LA, Macy Green of Asheville, AL, and Marie Green of Pascagoula, MS. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 11:00am until funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Old Jefferson Community Center for their care and attention to our loved one. Alton, My name is Wayne Tyson and I lived across the street from you mom for several years. She was a very sweet & kind lady. May God Bless her and please take comfort in knowing she is in a much better place.
