What I remember most about Uncle Buddy was his infectious smile. He seemed always to have a big smile on his face; a pleasing persona; and a willingness to volunteer for anything, anytime. He had a let's do it Attitude.
My last conversation with him was at Aunt Harriet's house some 4 or so years ago; perhaps longer. We spoke of fishing and work; Uncle Buddy had plans to go back to what he had mastered; Masonry.
My earliest memory of Uncle Buddy was on the porch of Grandma and Grandpa's house on Juban road in Denham Springs where much of the Spiller family would gather on any given Sunday afternoon. I can recall him very much in the conversation with a huge smile on his face, loud and boisterous at times. It was a good thing.
Because I live out of state, I am not able to visit as often as I would like. Sadly, the departure of Uncle Buddy from life as we know it once again summons the disappointing reminder that I should correct my repeated absence.
To the family and especially the immediate Family of Milton Leroy Spiller; please know I share in your loss and am sympathetic to what we all know is the in evadible; painful; truth!
