Sis. Roberta "Bert" Logan Boatner was born on August 20, 1941 in Sumter, South Carolina. She departed this life on January 2, 2017 at her home in Baker, Louisiana. Visitation Friday at 9:00 am until religious services at 10:00 am. Service to be held at Providence #2 Baptist Church, 3781 Highway 19, Ethel LA 70730, Rev. Mac Henry Wallace, Freeman Baptist Church, officiating. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Claude Boatner, Sr.; two sons: Claude Jr (Cynthia) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Andra "Andy" (Katie) of Zachary, Louisiana; her mother, Bertha J. Logan of Sumter, South Carolina; two sisters, Beverly Chatman, of Sumter, South Carolina; Rhonda Presha (Arnette Klugh) of Columbia, South Carolina; four brothers, James (Jonnie) Logan, Jr., North Valley Stream, New York, Raymond (Loretta) Logan and Roosevelt (Maude) Canty both of Sumter, South Carolina, Roy (Alice) Canty of Fletcher, North Carolina, two aunts, Vivian Presha and Pansy Conyers both of Pinewood, South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Valaida (DeSoto) Jackson, of New Orleans, Louisiana and one brother-in-law, Alfred (Julia) Marshall of Baker, Louisiana; a very special grand "son" whom she assisting in raising, Andre Brown, a special niece, Greshlyn "Renee" Taylor, two special grand nephews, Logan Smith of Sumter, South Carolina and Keandre Walter of Charlotte, North Carolina; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren Arrangement entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton, Louisiana.

Take comfort in knowing you have an angel watching over you. Mrs. Bert Was a quiet and happy lady she enjoyed being with her family we a had Christmas and thanksgiving we will never forget she was so happy. God seen that beautiful rose and he needed it for his garden he only wanted the best. Be strong my brotherin law god will wipe your tears away. Weeping may endure for a night joy comes in the morning.
