I had the pleasure of meeting Sis. June at the Police Barracks several years ago. She was so inspirational and encouraging. She has truly left a great legacy.

Your mother was so kind to all of us who worked in the office at CLF. At Christmas she would give gifts of money in appreciation. She gave me gifts that made a difference for me and my boys so I could afford a Christmas dinner as funds were tight as a single mom. Ms June really cared about people as I'm sure you know and she is now enjoying her reward.

Sister June was very dear to me. She was a very inspiring teacher. She taught me so much about the Lord. We were volunteers together with Prison Fellowship Ministries. Some of her favorite sayings were, "I'm a fanatic for Jesus"; "Its not about the clothes you wear, but the cross you bear; "Preach the Gospel, use words when necessary."
She will truly be missed. I loved her dearly.
To the family, you have my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort in knowing that she is in her new home with the Lord.

Dear Kathy, Amy and Katy,
Even though we have lost one of the most inspiring Bible teachers of our time, heaven has gained a precious soul. June was my Bible Study teacher from 1970 until 1996 when I moved away from Baton Rouge. We went to Israel and Mexico (several times) together and she was always the same. June was always on fire for the Lord. I never knew anyone like her or who could teach the Bible like her. She made you think David was your next door neighbor and that she was on a first name basis with everyone in the Bible. They were her friends and she loved Jesus more than anything in this world.
We had wonderful times worshipping the Lord and she treated everyone the same. If you were hungry to know the Lord and wanted to learn then she was willing to teach you. I loved her dearly and I know she will be missed so much. I know she had not been well for quite some time but the last time I saw her all June talked about was Jesus. She was not perfect but she loved the Lord with all of her heart and she gave her all whenever she taught.
Now, June is in the arms of her Lord and Savior rejoicing and re-uniting with all her loved ones who have gone on before her. What a glorious time she must be having!!! I am sorry I cannot be there with y'all to rejoice in her going home. June is where she wants to bein the arms of Jesus!! It is sad when we lose the one we love, but what peace you have in your hearts and how blessed you are to know where June is and that she is free to serve the Lord. Be blessed my friends and be comforted by God's Grace and peace. My prayers are with you.
