Thomas Landry Adams, Sr., 89, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on January 16, 2017. Thomas was a supervisor for South Central Bell for 32 years. He was a devoted husband and father for 66 years. He is survived by his spouse, Marian Brignac Adams; sons, Thomas L. Adams, Jr. and spouse, Pauline S. Adams, Randall G. Adams and spouse, Pamela H. Adams, Ronald P. Adams and spouse, Fran R. Adams; grandchildren, Chasitie Adams, Derrick Adams, Candice Cash and spouse Jeremy, Shauntel Puckett and spouse Alan, Brittany Gonzalez and spouse Lenny, Brandon Adams and spouse Betsy, Allison Kunjappy and spouse Raj, Breanna Adams and Austin Adams; and seven great-grandchildren. Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Albert R. Adams and his mother, Pauline M. Adams. To respect his wishes, the family will not have any funeral services. Rose Mary "Achord" Babin, passed away peacefully at the age of 81, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at her daughter's home, at 11:12 p.m. A resident of St. Amant, LA and native of Gonzales, LA. Visiting at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Hwy. 621, Gonzales, LA on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales. She is survived by her three daughters, Gail and Mikel Michel Jr., Sharla and John Shelton, and Tori and Gary Evans; three sons, Gerald J. Jr. and Audrey Babin, Travis J. Babin, and Lonnie P. Babin; sister, Vera Melancon; brother, Jim Achord; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Badon, Martha Louise "Donnie"  
Martha "Donnie" Louise Badon died Monday, January 16, 2017 with her family by her side in Wakefield, Louisiana. She was born February 10, 1946, in Baton Rouge to Nordy and Mary Louise Samson. Donnie is survived by her husband, Howard Badon; daughter, Renée Badon; son, Kevin Badon; daughter, Noel Richard; son-in-law, Steve Richard; grandson, Cade Badon; granddaughter, Ashley Richard; brother, John Samson; sister-in-law, Jan Samson; nephews, Drew Samson Jesse Samson and Martin Samson; brother-in-law, Glynn Badon; nieces, Lori Ladouceur and Marty James. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nordy and Mary Louise Samson; and sister Charlotte Anne. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visiting hours will resume on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 10am until a Funeral Service at 12pm in the Chapel of Greenoaks. Entombment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ovarian Cancer Research or any wildlife or nature preservation society.

Berdon Sr., Lawrence Dean  
Lawrence was 76 years old, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Natchez, MS. He died Monday, January 16, 2017 at his residence. Lawrence, who was known by many as Sugar Bear, was a strong intelligent man with a soft heart. He graduated from Natchez High School and received a football scholarship to Tulane University. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi and received a Bachelor of Business from the University of Mississippi. Lawrence was an avid golfer and member of Sherwood Forest Country Club and enjoyed fresh water fishing. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and a Naval Officer on the USS Ogden. Lawrence D. Berdon, CPA, was a Director in the Accounting and Assurance Services Group at Postlethwaite & Netterville (P&N). He joined the firm in 1966 and retired in 2010. In addition to serving as the firm's senior audit and quality control partner, Lawrence was on the initial peer review committee of the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of CPAs' Division for CPA Firms. His committee services included participation in the development of the first procedures for quality review of member firms. He had a significant impact in the accounting profession, where he was frequently requested to provide educational instruction to other CPAs, as well as was called to provide expert testimony on technical accounting matters. In 2015, he was honored with the Society for Louisiana Certified Public Accountant's Life Membership Award to recognize his life-long record of achievement to benefit the future of CPAs throughout Louisiana. For 44 years, Lawrence was an esteemed member of the P&N professional team, where his focus, integrity, and commitment made a profound and lasting impact. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Walsh Berdon; two sons, Lawrence Dean Berdon, Jr. and wife Courtney Burkett Berdon of Baton Rouge, LA and Bradley Owen Berdon and wife Tina Michtka Berdon of St. John's, FL. And Sheri Kramer Juban, half-sister to Dean and Bradley; nephews, Bill Berdon of Martinez, GA and Martin Berdon of Baton Rouge, LA; niece, Leigh Berdon of Panama City, FL. and grandchildren, Blake Berdon, Josh Berdon and Scarlett Rose Berdon. Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Berdon, Jr. and mother, Rubye Smith Berdon; brother, William Henry Berdon, III and sister-in-law, Betty Hugh Berdon. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Thursday, January 19, 2017, 10:00 a.m. until Memorial Service at 12 noon, conducted by The Reverend Camille C. Wood. A reception will immediately follow in the Reception Room at Rabenhorst Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be William Steve Sandahl, William Balhoff, Jake Netterville, M. O'Neal Walsh, Brooks Patterson and Shawn Patterson. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice, Kimberly Davis and Sonja Landry of Healing Waters.

Bing, Christopher Don 'Chris'  
Christopher "Chris" Don Bing, 45, passed away January 13, 2017. He was born September 24, 1971 to Donald Dean and Judith Sue (Martin) Bing in Merriam, KS. Chris received his nursing degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and his CRNA certificate from Texas Wesleyan University. He worked as a nurse anesthetist in Baton Rouge, LA. Chris is survived by his mother, Judith Bing of Claflin; sister, Kathy Koch (Rob) of Holyrood; daughter, Emma of Austin, TX; niece, Marlena Jahn (Andy) of Sonora, CA; nephew, Brandon Koch (Alisha) of Holyrood; niece, Allison Koch of Holyrood; and 7 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bing. Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Cline, Ronald David

A resident of Denham Springs, he died on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Chateau St. James. He was 69. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5pm until 9pm. Visitation on Friday will resume at 9am. Cormier, Herman Joseph  
Herman Joseph Cormier, a native of Church Point and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at the age of 89 on Sunday, January 15, 2017. He was married to his wife Ola for 52 years. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved spending time with family at his camp on the river. He treasured his Acadian heritage, French being his first language. He was the owner of Acadian Furniture for more than 30 years. He is survived by three daughters Karen Levy and her husband Mark of Baton Rouge; Denise Caldwell and husband Brent of Albany, LA; and Joan DeJean of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren Noah Levy and wife April of Ankeny, IA; Sam Levy of Baton Rouge; Brannon Byrd and wife Sheila of Iota; Tyler Caldwell and wife Kenley of Albany, LA.; four great-grandchildren René Levy; Mallory, Lilly, and Jack Byrd. His surviving siblings are Nathan and wife Jenora Cormier of Iowa, LA; Esther Prather and Kelly and wife Elaine Cormier of Opelousas. He was preceded in death by his wife Ola Mae Henry; his parents Treville and Devine Daigle Cormier; nine siblings Tula Bourgeois, Faye Comeaux, J.C. Cormier, R.S. Cormier, Mervin Cormier, Mae Lejeune, Hilman Cormier, Huey Cormier, and Melba Blanchard. He is also survived by devoted friend and neighbor Ann Manthe. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:15 PM. Visitation resumes Thursday, January 19, 2017 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 2121 N. Sherwood Forest Blvd. from 12:00 PM until the Mass begins at 1:00 PM, with Fr. Michael Alello officiating. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and sons-in-law. Memorial donations may be made to St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, where he was a member for many years. The daughters wish to extend their appreciation to Linda Victorian for the care she has provided for the last four years.
