Gebhart, Rose Ella Didier  
Rose Ella Didier Gebhart 98, a native and resident of New Roads, LA. She passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Pointe Coupee Healthcare. She was a catholic woman of great faith who delivered communion on a weekly basis until she was 93 years old. She also served on the St Mary Catholic Church Altar Society, Eucharistic Minister, church cleaner and a homebound minister. She was a daily adorer in the adoration chapel praying daily to the saints and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Visitation will be on Friday July 31, 2015 at St Mary of False River Catholic Church from 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Entombment to follow in Church Cemetery. She is survived by two sisters Lelia Lanius and Celina LeBlanc who was a lifelong devoted sister. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and one sister in law Natta Gibhart. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Elias Didier and Rosella Morel Didier, husband J.E. Gebhart, two sisters Mercedes McDaniel and Joyce Horton and one brother Anslem Didier. Special thanks to two special nieces Betty June Jordan Labatut and Patricia Jordan Gates and three special friends Shirley Fabre, Josephine Crochet and Vivian Lejeune. Family wishes to thank Pointe Coupee Healthcare, Jordan Darensburgs, Montrell and Qunie. Genusa Sr., Salvadore M.J. "Sal"  
Salvadore "Sal" M.J. Genusa, Sr. passed away at Pointe Coupee General Hospital on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at 9:25 pm at the age of 65. He was a resident and native of Fordoche, LA. He was a retired detective with the New Roads City Police Department with 18 years of service and currently employed as a detective with the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office. He was a veteran of the Louisiana National Guard with 7 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Achee Genusa, daughter, Amie Hendricks and husband Aubry, one son Sal Genusa, Jr. and daughter in law Pauline Glaser-Genusa, two sisters Josie Genusa and Bena Doherty, one brother, Carmello Genusa and wife Loretta. He is also survived by four grandchildren Raven Hendricks, Jake Hendricks, Emma Genusa and Jace Genusa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike Genusa and Lucy Donachricha-Genusa. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 29, 2015, at St Frances Catholic Church in Livonia, LA, from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow in church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jake Hendricks, Sammy Doherty, Troy Savoie, Johnny Sparks, James Achee, Larry Giordano, Logan Giordano, and Jeremy LaCombe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marty Genusa, Todd Savoie, Leroy Achee, Jr., Lester David, Ryan Zito, and Floyd Lasseigne. A special thanks to Livonia/Fordoche Fire Rescue, Acadian Ambulance, Dy. Dillon LaCour, and the Pointe Coupee General Hospital Emergency Department.

Katherine Douglas "Maw Maw' Gilyot, died peacefully at her daughter's home in Geismar, Louisiana on July 25, 2015 at the age of 87 years old. She is survived by her four(4) children, Blaze (Louanne) Gilyot, David Gilyot, Lee(Julie) Gilyot and Bridget Gilyot Williams, and two(2) stepchildren, Leo(Glenda) Gilyot and Stephanie Gilyot, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose Douglas and all of her siblings: Edna Powell, Corrine DeSargent, John Douglas, Oswald Douglas, and Theodore Douglas. Visitation will be at 9am on Friday, July 31, 2015 with Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Raymond- Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Avenue, New Orleans, La. 70119. Graham, Wilma Angeline Watson  
Wilma Angeline Watson Graham, 92, passed away July 25, 2015, at her home in Walker and is now safe in the arms of Jesus. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Mrs. Graham was also a lifelong member of Walker Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters and one son-in-law; Sue Talbot, Glenda Kay and Frank Schiro, Nell Wickwire, and Beth Brister, two sons and daughters-in-law, David "Bo" and Betty Graham, and Douglas and Tammy Graham, sixteen grandchildren, Micki Talbot, Matt and Ben Cascio, Damon, Jan, and Anthony Schiro, Richard and Stephen Wickwire, Daniel Brister, Mandi and Nathan Graham, Stephanie Kropog, Monique Sceroler, Stephen Stafford, Taylor and Tess Graham, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Marion Watson Vorel and Myra Watson Brock; one brother, Boyd Watson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ida Milton Watson, her husband of sixty years, Hulon Graham, three brothers, Elliot Watson, Roy Watson, and Clyde Watson, and a sister, Thelma Jones, a son-in-law, Richard Wickwire, Sr., and a precious great-granddaughter, Addie Blair Graham. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be at Walker Baptist Church on Monday, July 27 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and on Tuesday, July 28 at 9:00am until service at 11:00, conducted by Dr. Richard Blue. Gay Sr., Billy Dean  
Billy Dean Gay Sr., a lifelong heavy equipment operator of Walker, passed away at home on July 23, 2015 at the age of 76. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. Most will remember him for his quick wit and playful jokes, his flair for storytelling, and his attention to minute details. Billy was an avid reader of Western novels and he had a love of country and rock and roll music from the 40s and 50s. He was a graduate of Walker High School, Class of 1957, and stayed very close with all of his classmates. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bert Lovett Gay, sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Robert C. Artus, daughters Jerri Tomlinson, Frankie Dupont, and Linda Cambre, daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Mike Adams, daughter-in-law Stacy Wilkinson Gay, son Steve Gay, and grandchildren Kasey Santanen, Chris Corcoran, Elizabeth Goza Higginbotham, and Michael Cambre. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Hazel and Floyd Gay, his son Billy Dean Gay, Jr., and his grandson Alex Corcoran. The family would like to offer a special thanks to JoLynn Lovett Landry for all of her help. Visitation will be today, July 26, 2015 from 2-4 P.M. at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Satsuma. Funeral services will begin at 4 P.M., burial at Judson Baptist Church to follow. Grant, Veronica L.  
Veronica "Lynn" Grant was born November 21, 1956, to the late George and Dorothy P. Rogers. She was a native of Plaquemine, Louisiana. Lynn was a dedicated retired Internal Revenue Service Employee for 32 years. She taught many training classes, traveled extensively on job assignments, helped many clients and received many awards. Lynn was a dedicated Christian, committed and loyal servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated member of St. Luke Family Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Butler, Jr. Lynn was a 1974 Graduate of Plaquemine Sr. High School where she graduated with honors, she was among Who's Who in America, and excelled in playing the clarinet. She also attended Southern University where she completed her Certification in Accounting. Veronica transitioned from Earth to Glory on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving, caring husband, Larry Grant, Sr., 2 sons, Nayland and Larry (Quantae) Grant Jr., 3 granddaughters Layja Jewell Lynn, Larissa Phillip Lynn, and Laray Phillip Lynn Grant, 2 sisters Dorothy (Charles) Sansoni, and Pastor Laurie (Rufus) Washington, 6 brothers Henry Williams Jr., Ben (Diana) Williams, Sr., George (Shirley) Rogers, Kenneth Rogers, Sterling (Tina) Rogers, Sr. and Donald (Beola) Rogers, 6 sisters-in-law Anita J. Parker, Rosemary Battiste, Ruth Rogers, Julia Rogers, Evelyn (Ulysses) Wallace, Sr. and Cheryl S. Grant, brother-in-law Don Glenn (Veronica) Grant, 2 uncles Wilbert and Cumberson Johnson, numerous nieces and nephews. Griffin, Henry L. 'PaPa'  
Henry Lawson Griffin, affectionately called PaPa, passed away peacefully entering into the presence of his Heavenly Father on July 21, 2015, at the age of 97. He was a native of Altoona, Alabama and resident of Baton Rouge. He enlisted into the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and Chairman of the building committee for the chapel. He started the first residential insulation company in Baton Rouge, United Insulation, and then Baton Rouge Insulation. PaPa is survived by his children, Jennifer and Tim Griffin. Grandchild, Griffin Rosseau and wife Casey, and four siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Cleve and Mary Lou Ella Griffin & his wife Mildred "MiMi" Griffin & six siblings. PaPa was a loving giving man, avid gardener and lovingly earned the title The Tomato Man, always willing to help others. PaPa's favorite memories were watching his Grandson play baseball, never missing a game. He will be forever loved and missed until we are reunited with him in Heaven. Visitation will be at Broadmoor Baptist Church on Saturday, July 25 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with services following. Interment will take place at Greenoaks, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church. Special thanks to Dr. Dale McKinney, his nurse, Margie, providing excellent care, helping extend the quality of his life. Also, special thanks to LaMaison who provided compassionate care and support.
