Alise Sr., Anthony W. "Tony" A retired supervisor with Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp. and employed as a personal trainer at Extreme Fitness, he died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 74, a resident of Gonzales, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, was on Tuesday, April 17, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales, on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Terry Ducote, Gonzales; five sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Robyn Alise and Tony Jr. and Susan Alise, all of Gonzales, Mike and Christi Alise and Patrick and Dana Alise, all of Biloxi, Miss., and Peter and Debbie Barnett, Naples, Fla.; former spouse, Shirley F. Alise, Gonzales; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Alise, Piermont, N.Y.; 22 grandchildren, Terry Jr., Carrie, Heather, Dustin, Cara, Erin, Angela, Morgin, Monica, Ashley, Alysha, Cambryn, Lacie, Dylan, Tanner, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Melissa, Peter Jr., Gary, Adam and Darren; and five great-grandchildren, Shelby, Hannah, Cooper, Peyton and Jordan. Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent James and Carmella Lantress Alise; and two sisters, Josephine Davis and Angela Yazurlo. He was a former member of the Ascension Recreation Committee and Woodmen of the World. Honorary pallbearer, "workout partner" and forever his best buddy is Norman "Pappy" Melancon. Pallbearers will be Robert Ambeau, Jeffrey Baty, Irah Decoteau, David Picou, Kenneth Gautreau and David Regira. Special thanks to all the people Tony trained and worked out with over the years.
