Antoine Joseph 'Dukey' Thomas

A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 8 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014. He was 53 and had served in the U.S. Army. Visiting at Hall Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17, from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by Pastor Rita Lee. Burial will be private. Survived by his daughters, Shimara R. Thomas, of Baton Rouge, and Tonita A. Thomas, of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Kathy Lee, of Baton Rouge; brothers, Darryl (Martha) Thomas and Michelis Thomas, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Isaiah, Sariah, Hezekiah, Nehemiah and Ithuriel Thomas, all of Baton Rouge; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and frineds. Preceded in death by his parents, Helen H. Thomas and Marshall Thomas; sisters, Helen Elaine Thomas Ferguson and Marsha Ann Thomas Freeman; maternal grandparents, Idell Plains and George Hardesty; and paternal grandparents, Lavannah and Emmitt Thomas Sr .
