Beatrice Smith, a retired food service worker, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was 85. Ms. Smith was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Daughter of the late Scott and Mary Paige Smith. Sister of Alice, Leroy and Roosevelt Smith of Baton Rouge, LA. and Juanita Billups of Washington, D.C. She is survived by 3 god children; Mark Smith and Charles Judson of Atlanta, GA and Will Dixon of Baton Rouge, LA. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00am at Greater Beach Grove Baptist Church, 5352 Ford St. Visitation from 10-11:00am. Rev. Keno Spurlock officiating. Interment Southern Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Rhodes United Fidelity Funeral Home.
