Charles Ray 'Chuttie' Champagne Sr.

A native of Morgan City and resident of Plaquemine, "Chuttie" passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at his home. He was a retired boilermaker with Exxon Chemical with 38 years and 9 months of service and U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine on Monday, February 24, from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, celebrated by Rev. Gregory Daigle. Entombment in Grace Memorial Park. He is survived by son Charles Ray Champagne, Jr.; granddaughter Karen C. Langlinais-Mayeux and husband Randall; two great grandsons Andrew Charles and Trent Michael Langlinais; step great grandson Connor Landen Mayeux; sisters and brothers in law Marion Clement, Betty and Roland Fremin and Murphy and Mildred Breaux; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Pauline Breaux "Po" Champagne; infant son Ivan Michael Champagne; parents John and Adeline Comeaux Champagne; brothers John Champagne, Sr. and Joseph A.
