Claire Alleman, 20, beloved daughter of Iris and Donna Alleman, of Pierre Part, was called home suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009. She was born Dec. 9, 1988. Claire was a graduate of Assumption High School, attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she was a member of Our Lady of Wisdom Church, and was currently attending River Parishes Community College in Sorrento. She was employed at the Pierre Part Store and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. Waiting to welcome her were her grandparents, Horace and Bertha Alleman, Harold DeMetz, and Ken McGee; aunt and uncle, Gloria and Alvin McCarthy; and cousin, Nicole Curet. Claire is survived by a large, loving extended family as well as her brother, Jarrod; sister, Madeline; aunts and uncles, Jennifer and Alirio Zambrano, Joby and Kim DeMetz, Sheryl and Chip Moore, Lisa and Vernon Alleman, and Mary Louise and Jerry Savoy; cousins, Alexandra, Gabriela, and Vanessa Zambrano, Nick and Katie DeMetz, Margot, Mac, and Zach Moore, Austin Alleman, Chris and Beth Savoy, Cynthia Holland, Annette Richie, Jennifer Giambrone, and Alvin McCarthy Jr. Visitation at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. until funeral Mass at noon. Pallbearers will be Vernon Allemna, Joby DeMetz, Nick DeMetz, Chip Moore, Chris Savoy, Jerry Savoy and Alirio Zambrano.
