Karen -
I just wanted to convey the saddness and grief that I feel for you, Bruce and your family in the loss of Danielle. There are no words to make it better or even tolerable. I will pray for you for strength and courage for you to be able to face the days to come without her and that your "good" days will soon outnumber your "bad" days.
My DEEPEST sympathy,

Karen & Bruce,
I was so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. I can't think of any greater pain a parent can go through & there are no words that can ease that pain. I will keep you & your family in my thoughts and prayers. Karen, if you are still at the Baton Rouge General BB I am just across the street in the home care office, so if you need anything or just need someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on if you having a hard day, please call.

Dear Karen ,Bruce and Family,
I knew Danielle from working with her in ICU BB. She was always friendly helpful and willing to do any task I asked. She often shared with me her plans for nursing school and "can't wait to really be doing nursing." I believe she would have been a asset to nursing. Karen, you should know your influence helped her decide nursing as a profession. When a young person especially your child chooses a profession based on your your influence, this is the greatest compliment. Karen you can be proud. Hold on to your memories of Danielle's visits and lunches with you at work. I know they were a highlight for her. You will look back and treasure these memories I'm sure.
I will be praying for you and your family daily. Having lost a child myself I will tell you it gets better but there will be always be things that will trigger that empty place in your heart and tears to your eyes. God is the great healer. he remembers your tears. We all belong to him. My husband and I deal with our loss has everyone has a life time. Some of us our life time is hours, some weeks (as my Son, Andrew), some 2 years, some 19 years as with Danielle, some 99 years. Time is irrelevant to God. Just know he LOVES each of us and she is in his arms now.
She will be missed by the ICU.

Mr. & Mrs. Dempsey,
I wish I could say the magic word to make this all go away. I can't. What I can say is, I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray that the Lord will guide you and strengthen you to be able to someday soon think of Danielle with smiles and happiness. I pray that you will soon be able to look at the sun and see her beautiful smile shinning back at you. Our heart felt prayers are with you and your family.
May God Bless you.

I worked with Danielle at Palm Beach Tan. I never once went into work and saw a frown on her face. Her smile brightened the salon like no one else's could. As soon as I started working there, we immediately clicked. She had such an out-going and optimistic soul. I will never forget the memories we spent together, especially when she would come into Scoop'n Doo's after she would get off work at Planet Beach, and she'd ask for the same ice-cream every time, Birthday Cake or Superman. I'd send her home with a quart every time. Danielle, we will miss you so much. You're loved and missed by everyone.
Dempsey Family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you.
Love you & miss you.
