A native and resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. She was 90 and retired with 37 years of service as a secretary of the physics department. Visiting at Hall Davis and Sons on Monday, June 9 from 5-7 p.m. Religious service at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, 575 Education St., on Tuesday, June 10 at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Henry Brown. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her son, Darryl W. Vincent; sisters, Lucinda Clark, Almalee Carey and Willie Ann Woodlief; and grandchildren, Carla Jackson, Trent Greyson, Derek Vincent, Jessica Baptiste, Karam Young, Samuel D. Young and Isabelle Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis S. Young; son, Louis A. Young; parents, Rosa Donaldson and Willie Winsey; and sisters, Gloria Porter, Juanita Winsey and Mary Stringfellow. She was a graduate of McKinley High School and attended Leeland College, S.U. and Carey Beauty School. Services entrusted to Hall Davis and Sons Funeral Service.
