Eugene Joseph "Whip" Godfrey Jr.

A native of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his home. He was 35 and an Enterprise Rent A Car employee. Visiting at Franklin Ave Baptist Church (inside Florida Boulevard Baptist Church), 10915 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Pastor Manuel Pigee, III. Interment in Roselawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Angela Godfrey; father, Eugene Godfrey, Sr.; one brother, Adam M. Godfrey; his grandmother, Margaret Morgan; rearing a niece as a daughter, Kiara Warren; and his mother in law, Dorothy K. Rosemain. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jovanna Jackson; maternal grandfather, Bernell Morgan, Sr.; paternal grandfather, George Godfrey; and paternal grandmother, Delores I. Godfrey.
