Eugene Plauché Obituary

He retired from South Central Bell with 45 years of service and was a veteran of U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean War. A resident of Morganza, he died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at 5:30 a.m. at Pointe Coupee Health Care in New Roads. He was 80 and a native of Plaucheville. Visiting at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Morganza, on Wednesday, Feb. 9, was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Keun Soo Lee, celebrant. Interment in St. Ann's Cemetery. Survived by his three daughters, Patrice and husband Jeff LeJeune, of Baton Rouge, Sharon and husband Stanley LeCoq, of Morganza, and Paula and husband Keith Cook, of Youngsville; three sons, Michael and wife Kim Plauché, of Lafayette, Robert and wife Diana Plauché, of Fordoche, and Eugene Vincent II and wife Michelle Plauché, of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mae Dell Lemoine, of Plaucheville, and Marguerite Dupré, of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Matthew Plauché, of Plaucheville, and Jerome Plauché, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Evan and Claire Plauché, Stephen and Blake LeJeune, Alan, Christopher and Trisha LeCoq, Charles and wife Courtney Plauché, Jana and Ashley Plauché, Samantha, Emily and Sarah Cook and Madelyn and Luke Plauché; and great-grandchildren, Coleman and Parker LeCoq and Cameron Plauché. Preceded in death by his wife, Imma Dale Sackett Plauché; wife, Betty Jeansonne Plauché; parents, Wilton and Etta Cox Plauché; sister, Doris Maciasz; and brothers, Richard Plauché and Wilton Plauché Jr. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Morganza, Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Plaucheville, Knights of Columbus Council 2150, Morganza and American Legion Post 248. He was a former alderman of the village of Morganza for 12 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, Morganza. Mike, Robert, Gene V., Patrice, Sharon, Paula and to all of your family, Ralph and I send our deepest sympathy, for the loss of your daddy. He was a good man and we loved him, too. He was so good to our Mama and we are so grateful for the joy he brought to her life. He made her last years, happy years and she smiled again, thanks to him. You should all be so proud of his integrity and of how he lived his life. May the Lord bless you all give you His comfort and peace as you say goodbye. Love you......Ralph and Debbie
