A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in her home. She was 86 years old. Evelyn, a homemaker, was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Waterbury, Connecticut. She is survived by her loving family, her devoted husband of 66 years, Sebastian Michael (Bus) DiPalma, sons Charles Joseph (C.J.) DiPalma of Katy, Texas, and David (Dizzy) DiPalma and his wife Kim Barlow DiPalma of Baton Rouge, her seven grandchildren Heather Foster of Hammond, Stephanie Kessinger and fiancée, Kevin Harvey of Ponchatoula, Ben DiPalma and his wife Erin Dauterive DiPalma of Baton Rouge, Luke DiPalma of New Orleans, Sarah DiPalma of Lafayette, Sebastian D. DiPalma of Newport News, Virginia and Roman DiPalma of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by four beautiful great-grandchildren, Kelan Foster, Kinsley Harvey, Madeleine DiPalma and Thomas DiPalma and a brother Joseph Iannantuoni and his wife Carol Iannantuoni of Waterbury, Connecticut. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Rose Iannantuoni, sister Rose Mastrianna, and great-grandson Sean Michael Foster. She was a member of Sherwood Forest Country Club Ladies Golf Association and she volunteered at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for many years. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Visiting will resume on Friday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ben DiPalma, Luke DiPalma, Sal Quartararo, Charlie Wright, Pete Mauk, and Wendell Shiflett. Honorary pallbearers will be Sebastian D. DiPalma, Roman DiPalma, Bob Hall, Bob Olsen, Jim Regan, and Jess Holland. The family would like to thank Drs. Leo Blaize, William Hines, and Gerald Miletello for their care of her throughout her long illness. Special thanks to caregivers Yourba Cavalier and Carmen Douglas and the nurses and staff of Clarity Hospice who provided excellent care to Evelyn for the last few weeks, especially Toni, Danielle, Barbara, Carlett, Chandra, and Carmen. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or American Diabetes Association.
