Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Suire, 85, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A Native of Milton and resident of Erath, Mrs. Suire died at 4:50AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Abbeville General Hospital. She and her husband were owners of the Phillip 66 service station in Erath for many years; she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by daughter Mona and her husband Brian Etie of Erath; her granddaughter Crystal and her husband Jason Romein of Milton; her grandsons Shawn and his wife Kimberly Etie of Abbeville, Kyle and his wife Erin Etie of Erath, and Clint and his fiancé Tricia Suire of Youngsville; her great grandchildren Wayne Scalisi, Cameron Etie, Luke Etie, and Annabel Etie all of Erath, Brynn and Kaiden Romein both of Milton, Everett Etie of Abbeville, and Madilyn Suire of Youngsville; and one brother in law J.C. Mouton of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis "Joe" Suire; her granddaughter Brandie Lynn Etie; her parents Elier and Lorita Breaux Benoit; five sisters Lilly Benoit, Lula LaSalle, Viola Simon, Agnes Duhon, and Lucille Mouton; three brothers Mayo Benoit, Lloyd Benoit, and Presley Benoit. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Etie, Jason Romein, Shawn Etie, Kyle Etie, Clint Etie and Randal Menard. Serving as Honorary pallbearer will be Alvin Benoit.
