A retired maintenance worker for Freeport Sulfur with 31 years of service and a resident of Klotzville, he died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, in Napoleonville. He was 88, a native of Brusly St. Martin and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Donaldsonville at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jason Labbé, celebrant. Interment in Brusly St. Martin Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Anita Dupré Albarado; four daughters, Nora Giroir, Norma and husband Mike Speeg, Gladys and husband Moe Rhodes, and Antoinette Albarado; son, Perry Albarado and wife Cathy; two brothers, Vincent Albarado and wife Annie, and Edmond Albarado Jr. and wife Elta; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Sr. and Edna Millien Albarado; brother, Whitney Albarado; grandson, Kevin Hebert; great-grandchild, Judd Giroir; and son-in-law, Russell Giroir. Pallbearers will be Marc and Linn Rhodes, Jason and Rusty Giroir and Brian and Perry Albarado.
