Helen was a true original, and it was always the best part of traveling to Louisiana, getting to stop in and see her. She could light up a room with her straightforward personality and laugh, and we shared many a cocktail as she regaled us with stories of helping raise my mom when she was a girl. Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her, and I have a feeling that Heaven just got a little louder.

There'll never be another Helen Milazzo, and I felt blessed to call her my friend for more than 40 years. One couldn't help but laugh when around Helen, who always had a joke to share, and I'm miss the phone conversations we had during the last few years. Kathy and Donna, cherish your memories, and know your mother was loved by many---my thoughts and prayers are with you both.

There are people in life that bring a smile to your face when someone mentions their name. Your mom was that kind of person. I hope that it comforts you to know she is with Uncle Iggy now. They were such a great example of a loving couple. God bless them both.
