Our Heavenly Father called his son Huey Gene "Red" Henderson to his eternal home on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. He was born on October 13, 1939 in Oxford Ms. He was a wonderful Father & Grandfather and a longtime resident of Erwinville, La. He was an Air Force veteran and retired from West Baton Rouge Sheriffs Office as a Warden of the Work Release program. He is survived by his children, daughter Angela Maurello & husband Chuck Maurello, daughter Sherri Henderson, son Huey Scott Henderson, and daughter Kimberly Sterling & husband David Sterling all of Walker, LA, 4 granddaughters, Jaime Maurello, Chloe Maurello, Jessica Tate, Shelbi Tate, and 2 grandsons Colby Sterling and Carson Sterling all of Walker, LA, and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his 3 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and dear family friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Josie Henderson. Visitation will be on Saturday December 7, 2013 from 10-1 at Erwinville Baptist Church and religious services will begin at 1:00pm followed by Burial at Erwinville Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bryan Daigle, Jason Barber, Randall Brown, Jeremy Reed, Gary Boudreaux, and honorary pallbearer Colby Sterling. Special thanks to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer center staff and Dr. Bienvienu for your wonderful care and compassion. He was a blessing to so many people and will be greatly missed. We love you Dad!!
