Richard was a native of Jena, Louisiana and a resident of Gonzales. Richard passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Baton Rouge at the age of 72. Richard graduated from Northeast Louisiana University with a degree in Business Administration and was the retired owner of Gonzales Auto Paint of 35 years, a veteran of the U. S. Army from 1969 until 1971, a Gideon of the Gonzales Chapter for 25 years and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church; also serving as an adult Sunday school teacher for many years. The visitation for Richard will be held on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and resume on Thursday at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales for Religious Services at 11:00 AM celebrated by Rev. Scott Wright and Rev. Chris Blanchard. The interment will follow at Carpenters Chapel Cemetery. Richard is survived by his wife Lillian Ratcliff Morgan, daughters and sons-in-law: Stacy Morgan Allen and Aaron and Allison Morgan Blanchard and Keith, brothers and sisters-in-law: Marvin Morgan and Marlene, William (Bill) Morgan and Frances, grandchildren: Cole Richard Welch, Branae Rose Allen, Kate Madison Blanchard, Grant Ryan Welch and Adam Monroe Blanchard. Richard is preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Madison and Sybil Hughes Morgan. Serving as pallbearers for Richard will be Cole Welch, Jamie Morgan, Justin Morgan, John Smithson, Jay Evans and David Kobe.
