Snooky was like a brother to me and I am very sorry that I could not attend the funeral as I was obligated to make a presentation at a convention out of state. We will all miss him but I am peace to know that he is in heaven with his parents and J.T. and Bob and he is doing all of the fishing and hunting that he wants to.
Love,

My thoughts and prayers go out to Snooky's family at this time. I grew up next door to him in Brusly. He and his friends used to play ball in our yard. He was always fun and smiling. I had not seen him in many years, but thought of him often. My prayers go out to his family, I know he will be missed.

Uncle Snooky always helped me throughout my life. I learned how to be a better person in business and in life because of him. I will never forget his jokes, laugh, smile, and how he had more than friends; he had family. He shared that love with everyone he met and touched our lives. He will always be with each of us in our memories, hearts, and our actions. I will miss him greatly. I love you Uncle Snooky

To Chancy, Family and Employees of Gulf Inland Marines:

We suffer when loves ones pass on, partly because we are unprepared for this sepration. While we recognize that sooner or later death will come to all of us, when it does come into our circle, we are shocked, often confused, and upset. To be mature to the point of facing the realities of life includes the recognition that death can come to us or our loved ones any moment and requires an adjustment to this fact.. "For here have we not continuing city, but we seek one to come" (Hebrew 3:14). Nothing is more certain than the fact of death; nothing is more uncertain than the time of death. Some may agree that it is as natural to die as to be born, but we find more comfort in the more profound words of Paul, "for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Roman 6:23).
