Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to countless people, Laurie Albin LoBue, of Baton Rouge, LA. passed away suddenly on June 10, 2018, in Las Vegas, NV. Laurie was born on January 3, 1948 in Patterson, New Jersey, the second of nine children. She graduated from Grosse Ile High School, MI, class of 1966. Laurie also attended Henry Ford College and LSU. Laurie was a special woman, and a bright source of love and light in many people's lives. Her boundless generosity, selflessness, kindness, and quick wit will be dearly missed by all of those she touched. Laurie is known for her beautiful smile and warm heart. She always had a kind, uplifting word to get you through the day. She genuinely cared about her family and friends and would go to great lengths to help in any way she could. Laurie will be forever loved. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Cameron and Barbara Albin. She is survived by: husband Louis LoBue Jr.; daughters Jennifer (Dave) Brodie of Orange Beach, Alabama and Leslie (Rick)Toldo of Linden, MI; son Louis (Laura) LoBue III of Arlington, VA.; grandchildren, Kristen Brodie, Taylor Brodie, Paige LoBue, and Louis LoBue IV and siblings: Cheryl MacColl, Chuck (Patty) Albin, Ken (Susan) Albin, Tom (Rachel) Albin, Jamie (Greg) Beach, Kim (Andy) Webb, Dick (Pam) Albin, and Melissa (Ron) Albin-Wurzer. The family has arranged a Celebration of Life service at Boudreaux's Catering, 2647 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 on Wednesday June 20 from 5-8pm. A brief memorial service will be held at 6pm. To honor Laurie's love of the beach, Hawaiian or floral attire appreciated.

Louis, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of you wife. It seems you were just getting to point in your life when the two of you could enjoy all that you worked so hard for. I will remember you in my prayers in hopes that you can find strength to make it through this tragic time.

Louis and the LoBue and Albin families: Ricki and I were shocked and broken-hearted to read this obituary today.
