LAFAYETTE - Graveside Service will be celebrated Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Nicholas Edwin Lemmon, 32, who passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Little Rock, AR. Visitation will be observed at the Fountain Memorial Mausoleum in Lafayette on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 8:30 am until time of services. Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette. Reverend William Schambough, Associate Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate. Nicholas was born Friday, February 26, 1982 in Lafayette, LA. He graduated from Lafayette High School in Lafayette, LA. A proud veteran, Nicholas served as a FC3 in the Navy from October of 2006 to May of 2011. During his duty, he was awarded various medals and ribbons for his honorable services; the Expert Pistol Shot Medal, the Expert Rifleman Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the NATO Medal, the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. His journey in life allowed him to travel the world. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying the days he spent kayaking and fishing. Most of all, Nicholas loved spending time with his family. Nicholas will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Nicholas is survived by his beloved wife of five years, Crystal Hargraves Lemmon of North Little Rock, AR; one son, Ethan Alexander LeBlanc; his mother, Roxanne B. Richard and her husband Keith Gabriel Richard, all of Lafayette; his father, Louis Edwin Lemmon and his wife Marie, of Colorado; one sister, Lisa Ann Marie Richard, of Lafayette, LA; his brother Shawn Montgomery and his wife Kelli, of Youngsville, LA; his maternal grandmother, Georgella "Mimi" Curtis, of Lafayette, LA; his maternal grandfather, Thomas Glen Brown Sr. of Splendora, TX; his paternal grandmother, Betty Elberson Lemmon of Cedaredge, CO; two aunts, Karen Fogleman and her husband John and Janie Lemmon, both of Lafayette; two uncles, Thomas Glenn Brown and James Bryan Brown, both of Conroe, TX and one niece, two nephews and several cousins. Mary Elberson, not only a cousin to Nicholas, but a best friend who he was able to share memorable moments with, which will always be treasured by his family. His mother Roxanne and paternal grandmother Betty, were his rock and strength throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alexander Gabriel Richard, his paternal grandfather, Edmond Thomas Lemmon, two aunts, Linda LeBlanc Lemmon and Tammie Marie Brown and one uncle, Karl Lemmon.
