Patrick Lynwood O'Bannon

Patrick Lynwood O'Bannon, 56, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on April 4th, 2014. Pat was born December 10,th 1957. Patrick was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and graduated from LSU School of Journalism. He spent his professional career in Environmental Project Management. Patrick was the first ball boy at LSU during the Pete Maravich era. Pat brought the golf program back to Woodlawn and kept a love for the game his whole life. He had a passion for music and sang and played to the joy of many people. Patrick served in the U.S. Navy. He was known for his quick wit and a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved the Lord and is now at home. Patrick was an active member of Calvary Christian Fellowship. He is survived by his countless family and friends, including his wife of 33 years, Vicki Smith O'Bannon; his father and mother, Douglas and Goldie O'Bannon; his brother, Paul O'Bannon & wife Marcie; his son, Austin O'Bannon & wife Tracie; his daughters, Jessica and Adalee ""Addy Rose"" O'Bannon; his grandson, Hudson Moore; his granddaughter, Baylie Imler; his brother in law, Mark P. Smith; and his sister in law, Eve Sherbert. ""Because he loves me,"" says the Lord, ""I will rescue him I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name."" – Psalm 91:14 A celebration of his life will be held at Calvary Christian Fellowship, 3535 South Sherwood Forest Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 9,th 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted, through Regions Bank, for an education fund for Adalee O'Bannon and Hudson Moore.
