BARANCO JR., ROBERT GABRIEL DAIGRE A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at his home. He was 44 and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a former employee of Exxon Co. USA, Barber Brothers, Brown & Root, city-parish east and north lots, Fabricated Steel, Saizon Cement Finishing and Super K-Mart. Visiting at Rhodes United Fidelity Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24. Religious service at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, conducted by the Rev. Lowell D. Case, S.S.J. Interment in Gilbert Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Lisa Fowler Baranco, Baton Rouge; a daughter, Schyvanda Theresa Baranco, Baton Rouge; two sons, Robert Gabriel Daigre III and Ramon Michael Baranco, both of Baton Rouge; a sister, Edith Blanche Baranco, Baton Rouge; four sisters-in-law and their spouses, Joyce F. and Oscar Wooden Sr., Georgiana F. and Vernell Stevenson, Brenda F. and Ernest Gremillion and Diane F. and Matthew Johnson; a brother, David Brian Baranco, Baton Rouge; three brothers-in-law, Kevin and wife LaThrone Fowler, David Fowler and Jason and wife Paula Fowler, all of New Roads; six aunts, Vivian M. Baranco and Eugenia L. Baranco, both of Baton Rouge, and Patricia S. Rice, Jean S. and husband John Garner, Linda S. Sampson and Jermain Saizon, all of New Roads; six uncles, Russell and wife May, Ronald and wife Barbara, James and wife Barbara and John and wife Barbara Saizon, all of New Roads, Anthony Saizon, and Lymus W. Washington, Baton Rouge; eight nieces, five nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert G.D. Sr. and Barbara Saizon Baranco; maternal and paternal grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hermon and Josephine Haskin Fowler; two aunts and three uncles; a sister-in-law, Schyvanda T. Fowler; and a nephew, Oscar Wooden IV. He was an active member of ACORN.

Lisa and family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Robert's passing. I work at Fabricated Steel and will miss seeing him and getting emails from him. God is with you all and so is Robert's kind spirit.
