Ronald Lee Gaines went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Friday June 8, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory: Mother, Mary Gaines, Sisters: Kathy Blackman (Carmond) and Valerie Downing (George Jr.), Nephews: George Downing III (Mary), Christopher Blackman (Teresa) and Bradley Downing, Nieces: Karma Lamb (Aubrey) and Ashley Downing. Great nieces and nephews: TyTanna Downing, Bailey Lamb, Aubree Messi, Jayden Lamb, Riley and Ryan Blackman. Visitation will be held at Winnfield Funeral Home 7221 Plank Rd. Baton Rouge, LA Thursday, July 14, 2018 from 9:00AM-10:00AM, with Services immediately following in the Chapel at 10:00AM and Internment in the Winnfield Memorial Park. Our family thanks the staff at The Crossings, at Clarity Hospice, especially nurses Jodi and Danielle. The staff at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Baton Rouge, especially nurses Ariel and Shelita and the CNAs.
