Rosemary Virga Campo passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the age of 85. She was born April 25, 1927, in New Orleans, Louisiana to John Virga and Mary Pizzilota Virga. Rosemary was the retired owner of Campo Hardware Company. She enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, horseracing and bowling. Rosemary also enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics, where she had received numerous awards. She was very involved in the community, and spent much time volunteering at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband John Campo. Rosemary is survived by her son John Campo, Jr. and wife Mary Ann; her son Charles Campo; her grandchildren Trey Campo and wife Danna, Fallon Campo Teufert and husband Dean, Andrew Campo, Michelle Harlick and husband John, Madison Campo, Ross Campo and Dana Campo Baumer and husband Dr. Rene Baumer; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Hallie Campo. She is also survived by her sister Josie Demitri and her daughter-in-law, Antoinette Campo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard in New Orleans. A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
