Died at home at 6:15 am Thursday, May 8, 2014 surrounded by her son Ronnie (Tator). She is survived by her son, Ronnie and Sharon Gautreau; grandchildren, Beau Gautreau and wife, Tracy, Dana Gautreau, Amanda Goodrich and former husband, Brad Goodrich; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Brad and Ashton Goodrich, Christian and Landon Gautreau; two brothers, John Haydel Jr. and Joyce, James and Toni Haydel; sister, Nora and Jerry Durbin of Texas; brother-in-law, Jim Fallow. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 40 years, Huey (John) Gautreau; Second husband, Paul Lafleur Sr.; infant son, David; Parents, Valcour and Anna Haydel; sisters, Margie Rome, Clara Fallow, and Lonnie Haydel. She was past president of St. Mark's Alter Society for many years. She was a KC Aux member of St. Mark and American Legion. She also belonged to the usher Society of St. Mark. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 5pm to 9pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales and will resume Saturday, May 10, 2014 at St. Mark Catholic Church from 9:30am till service at 10:30 Internment at Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales. Special thanks to Ochsner nurses and doctors, second floor Telemetry Department and Chalise Courville, her personal nurse and friend, for staying at home and taking care of her and the special love she showed her. In lieu of flowers, at her request please make memorial donations to St. Jude or St. Mark Catholic Church.

Miss ruby will be missed but we all know that her heart is full of joy and there is no more pain. She was a wonderful woman and it was a privilege to have had her for the short time that I did. Thank you to all of her family who have now become mine.
