Scott H. Dyess

Born October 11, 1933. He went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 7:48 p.m. at his residence in Pine Grove, La. He was 79 and a native of Prentiss, MS. He was in the 569th Company of the US Army and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired pipefitter of Local 198 Steamfitters and Plumbers with 45-year service. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Baker, La. and moved to Pine Grove, where he was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home in Livingston on Saturday, December 15, 2012 beginning at 8:00 a.m., with funeral services in the Chapel at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Bro. Rodger Dunlap. Burial will follow at Housley Family Cemetery in Pine Grove, La. Preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Dyess; his parents, Calvin Monroe Dyess and Maude Mae Bracken; brothers, Albert Dyess and Edward Dyess; sister, Juanita Branton. Survived by sister, Eloise Carroll; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Shery and James Murphy Housley; son and daughter-in-law, Terry Scott and Susan Marie Dyess; daughter, Nancy Lynn Ramsey and fiance, Billy Courville; six grandchildren, Scott and Murphy Housley, Hope Carroll, Brad Hymel, Brady Valin and Samantha Dyess; seven great grandchildren, Trey, Olivia and Ethan Housley, Kelsey Milton, Blake Carroll, Rylee Hymel and Liam Ricker; two great-great grandchildren, Blakely and Kinsley Carroll.
