A resident of Baton Rouge, Theresa passed away at 7:00pm Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Baton Rouge General-Bluebonnet. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church. She also attended St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church where she sang in the choir at the Sunday Latin Mass. This remarkable woman was born November 13, 1927 in Baton Rouge, where she lived and met the love of her life, Ray M. Lorio, whom she married December 26, 1948. They spent a wonderful life together until she lost Ray on August 18, 2012. She was an exceptional homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Visitation will be held Wednesday at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church from 9:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home East. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial park. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Lorio Kliebert & husband Allen, Karen Lorio Piper & husband Daniel, and Claire Lorio; her grandchildren, Cherie Kliebert Favaro & husband Keith, Erik Kliebert, Joseph Kliebert, Katherine "Katie" Piper, Christopher Piper & wife Caitlyn, Ian Piper & wife Amber, Kevin Piper and Natalie Piper; great-grandchildren, Kiley, Ethan and Noah; sister-in-law, Josephine Lieux and nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Ray M. Lorio; parents, Arthur Joseph & Nathalie Langlois Lieux; brothers, Bertrand Lieux and Msgr. Arthur Lieux. Pallbearers will be Keith Favaro, Erik Kliebert, Joseph Kliebert, Christopher Piper, Ian Piper and Kevin Piper. We, her family, are comforted in the knowledge that Ray & Theresa are together again and forever.
