Thomas Ovelo "Tommy" Blanchard

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16. A loving husband, father, paw paw, brother, uncle and friend, Tommy passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Columbus, TX at the age of 68. He was a truck driver with Auger Services, native of Grosse Tete and resident of Rosedale. He was a US Army Veteran who proudly served in the Vietnam War. Visiting will be at First Baptist Church of Maringouin, 10970 Hwy 77, Maringouin, La on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 6 to 9pm and will resume on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 8am until religious services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Womack. Interment St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Grosse Tete. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Larry June Mullen Blanchard, Rosedale; two daughters and son-in-law, Angela Blanchard Wolf and husband Dennis C. Wolf, Jr., and Kristie Blanchard Bellelo; grandson, Ashton Thomas Bellelo, all of Grosse Tete; sister, Marilynn Blanchard Keowen, of Lottie, La.; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Doris Lasserre Blanchard. He loved to fish, camp, spending time with his family and beloved grandson, Ashton, especially taking them to Disney World. He was a board member and officer of Jamie Womack Ministries. Pallbearers will be Tom Keowen, Russell Lang Keowen, Travis Keowen, Jeremy Torres, Buddy Mullen and Phillip "Steele" Favoreth, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Webre, Sr., Doug Mabile and H.M.
