A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 10:00 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home for Victoria Lynne Pouliot DesOrmeaux, 54, who passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at her home in Lafayette from a short battle with cancer. Visitation will be observed on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and resumes Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 8:00 am until the time of services, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home. Prayer service, officiated by Deacon Cody Miller of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Milton will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will take place in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette. Reverend Father Scott DesOrmeaux, Parochial Vicar of St. Theodore Catholic Church of Moss Bluff, LA will officiate. Vicki was born August 2, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas and was a resident of Acadiana. She was employed for thirty years by Atmos Energy as a Telecom Coordinator. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, LA. Because of her love to travel, she was always looking for a new vacation spot. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Vicki is survived by her beloved husband of thirty-five years Keith DesOrmeaux of Lafayette; two sons, Brandon James DesOrmeaux and partner, Kristina Ostrom of Broussard and Ryan Paul DesOrmeaux and his wife, Tanya of Youngsville; daughter, Stephanie Renee LeBlanc and her husband, Noah of Youngsville; her parents, Leon A. Pouliot, Jr. and Shirley Pauline Hebert Pouliot of San Antonio, Texas; ten grandchildren, Kannon James DesOrmeaux, Blair Randolph, Zayn Randolph, Brylee DesOrmeaux, Parker DesOrmeaux, Chloe Whaley, Mia Whaley, Caul LeBlanc, Coy LeBlanc and Amelia Kate LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leon Pouliot, Sr. and Virginia Pouliot as well as her maternal grandparents, Placid and Edna Hebert. The family wishes to thank Heart of Hospice and Dr. Malad of the Cancer Center of Acadiana; as well as family, friends, and neighbors for the prayers and compassionate care given to Vicki and her family.
