Violetta Dickerson Obituary

Violetta Marie Dickerson left this world for her heavenly home on March 6, 2018 in Kansas City Mo. She was born on March 11, 1943 in Baton Rouge, La. In her passing she leaves behind son Kevin Dickerson, daughter in law Nicole Dickerson; step daughter Dina Dickerson Ransome; grandchildren Laci, Ian, and Avelyn Dickerson; sisters Wanda Clay and Vicki Rambin; brother Curtis Gammill. She was the beloved wife and widow of Lacey Dickerson. Violetta was a loving mother and wife. She touched many lives as a pre-school teacher at Jefferson Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, La where her love of children shined brightly. Violetta's love of family and church was strong and showed in her hard work for both. This passion was closely followed by her love for her boys of the LSU baseball team. She and husband Lacey held season tickets and were popular fixtures of Alex Box Stadium for many seasons. While her presence will be missed. We can rejoice at her reunion with her true love and husband. Rest in peace Violetta and Geaux Tigers!! A celebration of her life will be held in Baton Rouge at a future date.
