She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I will always picture her smiling because she was always smiling! She loved to laugh and will be sorely missed.

I remember Mrs. Zink very well. She was my art teacher in elementary school at Edgar Martin in Lafayette. She was always so very kind and I loved being in her classroom. She touched many lives. I am now 48 years old and an elementary school teacher in Baton Rouge. I know she had an influence on me becoming a teacher. Prayers to your family during this time.

I practically grew up in the Zink's home as Ellen and I bounced back and forth between our homes on Broadmoor Blvd. Wylla was always patient and kind, and never turned us down when we begged her to let us eat lunch in the pop-up camper! My mother and I were so lucky to have been able to visit with Wylla two years ago when she was in Lafayette. After all those years, she hadn't changed a bit. My mom has sinced passed away, and now, sadly, we have lost this sweet lady. Ellen and Laura, my heart goes out to you both in this time of loss.

Wylla was a wonderful Christian lady. She was so willing to help me with the art during Bible school. I will always remember her sweet smile. Know that I will be praying for the family.

Memory of Wylla's smile and happy, Christian nature will always be with me. Mike would bring her to McKendree Village (where she lived for a short time and where I live) each Friday to have Peggy wash and set her hair and I would take her back home. We, here at McKendree will truly miss her...

Wylla was a beautiful lady who led a beautiful Christian life. I very much admired and appreciated her, her talents and her friendship. I was privileged to be a guest in her home on several occasions always experiencing her welcome and southern charm..
