Johnny Lang Sr.

A resident of Baton Rouge, passed on December 7, 2012 at the age of 80. He retired from the Laborers' National Union (#1177) in 1994 with over 20 years of loyal service as a certified plumber. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Visitation at Carney/Mackey Funeral Home on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm. Visitation at Beech Grove Baptist Church, 9455 Elm Grove Garden Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70807, Elder Marshall Hall, Pastor/Officiating, Saturday, December 15, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until religious services begin at 11:00am. Interment at Southern Memorial Gardens. Johnny Lang, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories, Delories Lang, Loretha Anderson; his two daughters, Debra Lang and Cheryl (Eugene) Early; two sons, Johnny (Robin) Lang, Jr., and Wayne Lang, all of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers, Noah (Laura) Lang, Orange (Deloris) Lang, both of Baton Rouge, LA, and Herman (Jessie) Langley of Baker, LA; one sister Juanita L. Porterie of Baton Rouge, LA, eight grandchildren, British, Prince, Vincent, Jessica, Johnny, Desmond, Aaron, and Nicole; four great grandchildren, London, Asiah, Daevon, and Jamal; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relative and friends. Brother Lang was preceded in death by his parents Noah and Julia (Hall) Langley; five sisters, Luella L. Harris, Isabell L. Rogers, Viola Langley, Leola L. Richardson, and Mary Langley; two brothers, Willis Langley and Freddie Lang, Sr.; one son, Tyrone Desmond Lang, and one grandson, Eugene Early, Jr. We thank God for time shared with our loving brother Johnny on this earth; understanding that his absence from the body, is his presence with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
