Martha Jean Williams Shaver Bozeman Dennis

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Martha Jean Williams Shavers Bozeman Dennis, age 69, who passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at her residence in Carencro. Interment will be in Green Oaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013. The Rev. Nick Peters, pastor of First Baptist Church in Carencro, will officiate at the services. Ms. Dennis was born in Austin, TX, having lived most of her life in Baton Rouge, but recently has been a resident of Carencro. She was previously employed with the State of Louisiana as an Administrative Coordinator for twenty-five years of service. Ms. Dennis was a parishioner of First Baptist Church in Carencro. She was a devoted follower of Christ and she is now with her Lord and Savior. She also enjoyed being in her garden tending to her flowers, but her love was for the Lord, her children and grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Tandy Marks and her husband, Kenneth, Stacy Baron and her husband, Kerry, and Tina Bozeman all of Carencro; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Joan Diamond and her husband, Riley, of Plaquemine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Williams and the former, Ruth Wells; and two brothers, Edwin "Buddy" Barry Bennett and William "Butch" Bennett. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.
