A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. July 21, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Barbara Lynn Kober Viator, 66, who died July 17, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Fr. Jared Suire, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, LA will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Barbara spent 43 years educating Acadia Parish students and teachers. She was an elementary school teacher and Title I Helping Teacher. Ms. Viator was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and an Altar Society Member. She is survived by one daughter, Dawn Viator of Crowley; one son, Ryan Viator of Grand Ledge, MI; two sisters, Rita Legnion of Lake Charles, and Nita Faulk of Crowley; and one granddaughter, Catherine Kolb of Crowley. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Alvoid "Boo Boo" and Lucille Pizzolatto Kober. Condolences may be sent to the family by www.geesey-ferguson.com.
