An amazing wife, mother, sister and swim coach, Betsy Hall Patterson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 22, 2014 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born May 8, 1961, the daughter of Anna Marie and Harvey J Hall. She was a graduate of University High and LSU. Betsy married Charles Patterson August 21, 1981, and together they had four children, Ashley, Dana, Jennifer, and David. She cherished her life as Swim Instructor/Coach and also enjoyed participating in all outdoor activities. Betsy was a member of Sandia Presbyterian Church. Betsy is survived by her husband, Charles, her children Ashley and Taylor Burns, Jennifer and Ryan Mack, and David Patterson. Sisters, Mimi Platte (Keith), Kitty Hall (Neil Scott), Vicki Hall, Hopie Lovegren (Lee), Grady Morrison (Greg), Robin Patty (Drew), Shari Norblom (Kirk), Wendy DuMont (James), brothers, Chris Hall (Cathy), Jim Hall (Katrina), David Hall, and Eula Mae Posey and her mother in law, Gena Patterson. She was preceded in death by her daughter Dana Patterson, her father, Harvey J, her mother, Anna Marie, brothers, Lee, Tom, and Richard Hall. A memorial service with her mother, Anna Marie, will be held on Sunday August 24th at University Presbyterian Church, 3240 Dalrymple Drive at 3 PM followed by a visitation social. Memorial donations may be made in Betsy's name to Fish Factory Swim School Scholarship Fund, 3707 Eubank Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87111. Betsy loved life, and her dream was to have every child learn to swim.
