A native of Pasadena, Calif., he passed away from lung cancer at 5 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his home in Jackson, La. He was 69 and a retired member of the military, having served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Army National Guard. Survived by his wife, Judy Lioret; daughters, Anna-Marie Lioret Bateman and Erin Rebecca Lioret; sons, Mark Davis Lioret, Ricky Idlett and Chad Idlett; brother, Kent Lioret; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Davis Sholars; father, Ernest Leopold Lioret; stepfather, Brunswig Sholars; and sister, Marie Lioret Fritts.
